I can’t predict the future of the Color Theme Tool, as the Color Theme Panel has been eliminated. Hmmmm… My hope is that this tool remains, perhaps only with a name change. Any suggestions?

I can’t live without it and I believe you’ll be hooked, too, once you see all it does.

With a click you can grab color values from an image (and more). But thanks to the menu, you can vary which values you use, from darks, to vivids, to brights, to muted, and more. So cool.

Then you can quickly add them to your CC Library and/or Swatches Panel.

We’ll have fun playing with:

• Capturing colors from an image
• Capturing colors from specific areas of an image
• Creating Swatches for document-wide use
• Adding Swatches to the CC Library
• Selecting specific colors based on attributes from the menu
• Selecting color from blending mode and transparency
• Pulling color from vector graphics
• other fun stuff
