When shooting with my DSLR or any of my old film cameras, I tend to open up the aperture and shoot with a shallow depth of field, blurring out the foreground and background.
When I shoot with my iPhone, I don't get the same controls.
I have some camera software that helps, but I find it a bit klunky and unreliable. So I end up with lots of shots where everything in the photo is sharp.
When I saw the new Depth Blur Neural Filter in Photoshop CC 2022, and started using it on my own photos, I was amazed. Truly...I was amazed.
It's not perfect, but wow...it's really good.

For me, this changes the way I process my smart phone photos. I also use it on photos from DSLR that I didn't get the background or foreground as soft as I wanted.
