Does File Format Change Image Resolution

Epsiode

There are so many image formats from which to choose when saving a photo. You could save as a .jpg, .gif, .png, .tif, .psd, and many others.

The question posed for this Episode of Checkin' the Mail is whether the various file formats change the image resolution.

Important question.

It is a question I get a lot and makes sense, considering that the same photo saved as a .tif is XXmb and the .jpg is less than half that size.

It MUST be image resolution...right?

We'll explore all of that on this Episode of Checkin' the Mail.
