I’ve tried this new Neural Filter in Photoshop on images and art and shake my head at the results. Magic? YES!
When saving an image as a JPEG, there is data loss. Period. There is some mathematical algorithm that takes an 8 x 8 pixel region and does stuff to it to make it smaller.
I won’t pretend to understand the way it works, but, in short, it throws pixels out and, when you open, or expand the image, it puts what it THINKS it remembers was there back. Hmmm….
The problem is that it can’t, so it makes it up, and we are often left with these big chunks in the art and photos. The more the images are compressed, or more the frequency, the worse it is.
In this Episode I’ll show you how to use this new power tool to fix this problem quickly and easily.
And it’s a short Episode, so you can get back to fixing your JPEGs in no time.
